Donations to Project Independence will go to provide services, education and support and outreach to families in our community who are living with Autism. All donations are tax deductible! Project Independence opened its doors as a result of the many needs our neighbors face in the everyday challenges caring for a child with Autism. Alarming statistics reveal the number of children diagnosed with Autism has grown from 1 in 10,000 just 10 short years ago to 1 in 166 today. Project Independence will provide summer day camps and programs built around the needs of these children. The sports program provides recreation, challenge, and self-esteem, a small step to building independence for their future. The goal of Project Independence is to open a facility to assist families living with Autism, one of the first of its kind in Louisiana. Here's how you can help:• Make a donation in any dollar amount to benefit Project Independence Donations to Project Independence will go to provide services, education and support and outreach to families in our community who are living with Autism.
