Project Independence opened its doors as a result of the many needs our neighbors face in the everyday challenges caring for a child with Autism. Alarming statistics reveal the number of children diagnosed with Autism has grown from 1 in 10,000 just 10 short years ago to 1 in 166 today.

Project Independence will provide summer day camps and programs built around the needs of these children. The sports program provides recreation, challenge, and self-esteem, a small step to building independence for their future.

The goal of Project Independence is to open a facility to assist families living with Autism, one of the first of its kind in Louisiana.
